I've never had issues with Uplay, which is why some complain about it.

The interface doesn’t appeal to me. The same issue with Steam.
They provided a used key and didn’t refresh it.
It changes constantly.
Most of the games run poorly optimized.

Other factors include people's preferences for single clients versus multiplayer, and sometimes layout issues. Personally, I don’t mind since I own few Ubisoft titles.

It's slow and awkward, and it's just another location I need to visit to play my games. The issue isn't really about causing problems, but rather that it exists mainly because Ubisoft wants to control its own experience, which feels completely out of place. They could have made their games work independently or with Steam, but they stick to their own restrictive DRM for no apparent reason. This is why complaints are common and the flaws are often exaggerated.

Problems arise when it isn't steam; most folks will dislike it.

It is potato. I would rather use a console over uplay.

Every time I buy a game at launch, it takes them a week (just kidding) to process my payment or let me log in. Meanwhile, I’m watching others download and play it before me. It’s frustrating for loyal fans. After launch, access is roughly half the time. Many games require login even for single-player. I had to bootstrap Hawx 2 to play it offline—definitely not my first choice. The whole situation feels like I’m being punished for paying and then penalized again for using my own hardware. Their money seems to mean nothing to them.

I prefer Origin over Steam because Steam can crash occasionally, which is quite bothersome

Occasionally it blocked me from redeeming a game. On the store page it would keep taking me back to the main site because it said it was redirecting me to my region. Personally, the interface isn't terrible—I prefer it more than Origin's but dislike most of the rest.
