You're experiencing some unusual behavior with your power supply. It sounds like the PSU might be struggling under the load, especially when running CSGO compared to other games. The noise you hear near it could indicate a failing component or poor cooling. Since your PSU is around 5 years old, it's worth checking its age and condition—consider testing it with a multimeter or replacing it if necessary.

It's not unusual for a PSU to overheat during a single game.

It varies based on your current draw. You need a PSU under 45A. Does it overheat during heavy use?

I'm not entirely confident it becomes louder in CS:GO. Remember, I bowed down to Doom after it came out, it felt a bit dusty initially, but I tried my best to clean it, though some dust remained.

Place it within the warranty if you suspect the PSU is faulty. This is why it comes with a 10-year warranty, so you won’t need to purchase a replacement. Perhaps @Corsair Nick can assist you and guide you in the proper direction.

Confirm the HX850 warranty is secure. If so, consider keeping it, trading it in, or listing it online—just some suggestions. GL!
