What's this PCI slot?
I recently got a Radisys Endura BG845G motherboard with an unknown PCI port. It sits right below the AGP slot. I think this port can provide additional power or voltage for specific cards, but checking online reference sheets doesn’t show anything similar. It’s not a 64-bit PCI-X slot either; the remaining part of the slot is roughly a quarter of what it would need to accommodate a 64-bit PCI-X card.

You can install an ATX riser card to generate more PCI slots from page 21 in the manual. The motherboard offers three bus-master PCI 2.2 compliant ports and one AGP/ADD slot. It supplies power through the 5V standby input of the power supply, ensuring the voltage meets requirements for the connected cards. Verify that the standby rail can handle the needed current when using a card that relies on 3.3V. The BG845G supports up to 60W total consumption across all four slots (15W each). Slot 1 is dedicated to AGP/ADD, supporting digital displays and video adapters; it also accommodates chipset video ports for monitors or TV output based on card specs. Motherboards with the Intel 845G option can host AGP video cards that require 1.5V and support 4X speeds, while 3.3V AGP cards are not compatible. When an AGP card is active, the built-in video controller remains off. Slots 2, 3, and 4 (PCI slots) can each have a riser, with up to two risers used together for a maximum of five PCI slots in the system. Slot 2 includes a riser meeting the ATX Riser Card Specification, using a 22-pin connector for extra signals. Slots 3 and 4 support three-slot risers, utilizing reserved or unused pins on the standard PCI connector. The riser enable jumper should be installed only when necessary; avoid it if an adapter is placed directly in slot 3 or 4. Slot 3 also allows a two-slot riser for access to the LPC bus. Interesting point. The setup included a PCI riser board, yet it wasn't equipped with the additional riser pins. That's quite unusual.
