Hey there! I'm trying to figure out how to improve my laptop's performance. I have an Asus Vivobook X512DA with an AMD Ryzen 5 3500U processor, Radeon Vega 8 graphics, 8 GB DDR4 RAM (with some reserved space), and a 500 GB SSD. It runs fine for everyday tasks but struggles with gaming, especially when settings are low. I’ve noticed Asus has already soldered four gigabytes of RAM, leaving just one upgrade slot. My question is: should I swap the existing 4 GB stick for an 8 GB one to boost memory to 12 GB, even though it might run in single-channel mode? Also, are there other ways to enhance gaming performance? You can check the full specs on Asus' site here: https://www.asus.com/in/Laptops/For-Home...2/techspec. Let me know your thoughts!

Set up cpu-z on your laptop. Launch the application and navigate to the SPD section. Locate memory modules matching the required dimensions and clock speed for optimal compatibility. GL!

I checked the details and noticed discrepancies between Task Manager and CPU-Z readings. RAM appears to be listed correctly, but CPU-Z isn’t detecting it properly. Z also doesn’t recognize the memory in slot 2. It might help to verify the RAM type and ensure it’s seated right. Consider running a system check or consulting the manufacturer’s support for further assistance.
