What's the issue with the coil whine or fan noise? I'm trying to understand.
Hello, I've experienced this particular noise quite often under certain conditions, sometimes even unexpectedly. It appears as a sudden, loud buzzing sound whose origin is unclear. It tends to occur when I'm working with After Effects that has many frames, or when playing games like Genshin Impact at low settings, despite my hardware being capable of higher configurations. The sound doesn't appear immediately; it starts randomly and briefly pauses when I gently shake the PC. However, it resumes after a while, accompanied by the noise, and eventually stops without any apparent reason from my side.
I've captured the audio and will share it here so you can listen and assist in identifying the cause. Initially, I suspected it might be related to an unsecured HDD SATA cable, but I've tried inserting it more firmly while being careful not to damage anything. The noise seems to emanate from the top fan or CPU cooler, or possibly from a nearby area close to the front or middle of the PC, though I'm not certain. At the moment, I don't have a reliable method to pinpoint whether it's coming from the fans specifically.
I'm unsure how to determine if the issue is with the fans themselves, as disabling just one fan during the noise isn't straightforward. Would any guidance help me resolve this without risking further damage?
I wasn't certain about the placement because I had no clue if it connected to fans, coil whine, or another topic. Please let me know if it fits better elsewhere.
