The article discusses how Intel 13th and 14th generation laptop CPUs remain stable despite instability issues. It notes that many Raptor Lake chips are actually built on the 12th generation Alder Lake architecture. Examples like the i5 13400 are mentioned, and a Wikipedia page provides details on which models appear under that name.

It seems more related to a motherboard problem and possibly a failing hard drive. Personally, 12600K or 12700K is just a suggestion if you're planning to use Intel LGA 1700 or not. If integrated graphics aren't important, the KF models from 13th and 14th generation offer minimal improvement and often have stability issues. The top choice in the socket is the 14900K or KS, though it comes with some reliability concerns. It's also a potential hardware issue waiting to happen. My real advice would be to switch to an AM5 platform if possible. If not, go with 12600K/KF or 12700K/KF models.

Consider a 5-core CPU with strong performance and good value for your budget.
