What’s happening isn’t clear to me.

I set this configuration right outside the case and it functioned perfectly. But once I placed it inside the case, it stopped booting and the VRAM indicator started flashing orange. It’s really confusing since it seemed to start up just before my eyes.

It seems unclear what’s happening due to a lack of specific information. I imagine you took the device apart completely, moved it into its case, and then put it back together... or perhaps some components like RAM were still connected.

Check for loose connections or unexpected contact points near the metal parts. Look for signs of the board slipping under the case.

This would be confirmed if it restarts outside the case after the issue arises. You can always try to return to a stable version and proceed from there. Keeping track of the steps is essential.

The motherboard seems slightly loose, but I didn’t consider it a major problem. I believe I’ve rebuilt this at least five times.

Are you connecting via cable extensions? The best approach is to disassemble it once more and check functionality. It was previously working, so go back to that state and verify again.
