Guys I just installed the GPU but don’t have Windows. I have two choices: ask a friend for a bootable USB with Win10 Pro that his school provided and a real activation key, or follow your advice. I heard Paul the YouTuber is getting a Windows 10 for 20 bucks as an OEM version. Or if you have any other ideas, please help me out. Thanks!

Get the Windows Media Creation Tool. Install Windows and launch it whenever you wish. You don’t have to activate it to use Windows.

Consider trying one of the countless free non-Windows operating systems available.

No problem, I understand. You mentioned you have a broken laptop and are wondering if you can use its key.

It might be possible to move the license. Worth a shot.

You possess a version of 7 or 8, and the activation gap remains functional.

Laptop keys are secured to the motherboard. For Vista or earlier systems, it works.

This would be secured at the motherboard level. That's all I have to say.
