It was my first time sharing this update. However, I might find a new board on eBay for about 16$, assuming the system can handle my third-generation CPU.

Okay that explains it. So you want to clean it as a step in the troubleshooting? Remove the CMOS battery and then use 90%+ Isopropyl alcohol. An old toothbrush usually works fine if you need to rub it. Let the alcohol evaporate before plugging everything in again.
