Teamspeak works well for groups of up to 32, but I favor mumble because it’s free and offers smoother performance, clearer audio, and lower delays. The setup can feel a bit more complicated.

For casual conversations with teammates, use the push-to-talk feature in games. To chat with friends outside of the game or across servers, choose a device everyone can access.

Several games include built-in VoIP features. I’m aware Battlefield 4 does, possibly others on the list. If you’re playing that version, no external tools are required—just ensure voice chat is enabled. Most users disable it, but third-party apps link to a server. Only participants in that server can hear and communicate, meaning they must use compatible software.
