Hello everyone
I’d like to hear your thoughts on improving FPS in Valorant.
My current FPS is between 120 and 180.
My monitor runs at 240Hz.
I’m aiming to boost my performance.
My specs are:
Processor: i7-7700K
Motherboard: MSI B150M Mortar (note this board isn’t ideal for K-processors)
RAM: 4 x 4GB at 2666MHz
GPU: GTX 970
I can only upgrade one component.
What do you recommend?
Thanks in advance, and have a great day!

Check the CPU usage on each core and GPU usage while playing Valorant. Try lowering the game resolution and observe if your FPS improves. If FPS remains stable, you're likely CPU-limited; if it increases, GPU limitation is more probable.

Valorant tends to use more CPU resources compared to GPU, making it a good choice for an i5 or r5 processor.
