I possess a gaming pc linked to two monitors—one DVI and the other HDMI. I seek a solution or device so that when working remotely, I can connect my work laptop and retain the same keyboard, mouse, and displays with minimal effort.

You might simply link a USB docking station to your desktop, detach it and insert it into the laptop as needed for swapping.
Alternatively, take advantage of the multiple input options on most monitors to connect solely to the docking station (this wouldn't address other peripherals).
