Consider the options available within your budget. Compare the performance of each router when using a 10-meter Cat5e Ethernet connection for large file transfers. Look for models that offer sufficient speed and reliability without breaking the bank.

I use a Kingston A400 480GB SSD for storage, which limits my speeds to about 500Mbps.

The drive supports 500MBps, which equals roughly 62.5MBps. Internet speeds are usually given in megabits per second, so these units differ. The numbers aren't the same because of the capitalization—MBps and Mbps mean different things.

So you could achieve the 1000mbps then. Thanks!

The AVM Fritzbox line offers Gbit LAN performance. It's a great choice to begin with.

I already have a router with my internet plan, but it claims up to 1Gbps. In reality, with my current speed (300mbps) I only managed around 15MBps download, and the Wi-Fi signal weakens significantly through walls. I found online that the TP-Link Archer C7 AC1750 performs well for 1Gbps and is a good option. The AVM Fritzbox you mentioned is much pricier in my country.

The claimed internet speed differs from what appears during file downloads. It's measured in megabits per second, not megabytes. If your router handles 1 gigabit per second, a superior router can only improve signal quality at home—not boost actual speeds.
