Even when examining the real pins, it's still unclear... For instance, with the Asus K31AN, it's tough to tell. The PCIe only shows pins for 8x, but the CPU (Intel Pentium Processor J2900) only has 4 pins and functions properly only in a 2x setup, likely because other connections are also present. So in theory it could be 16x, but practically it's limited to 2x.

A 1080 performance generally works well with any lower card in the same or improved range. If the outcome shows a 1080 lacks 8x bandwidth, a weaker 1050 Ti should not experience any adverse effects.
