What to do when PC fans start spinning during web browsing?
I own a Dell Inspiron 5675, a bit outdated but still capable of handling most modern games at decent settings. When fans spin, I definitely notice it. But lately, after some component changes, it seems to be drawing a lot of power even when just browsing the web. Whether it's Edge or Firefox, the Task Manager shows a heavy load for these apps. At the same time, they're just simple web pages.
I have 32gb of RAM, a solid CPU and GPU, and temperatures never go above 60°C. I cleaned the fans and dusted the case, but nothing seems to be working. Even more frustrating is that I don’t know what to do to fix it, and it’s really annoying. The fan noise is quite loud, making it hard to tell whether it's from the CPU or GPU, since they’re next to each other. This kind of noise usually comes from running demanding games, not just web use.
I’d appreciate any advice on what might be causing this issue and how I can resolve it. I’m open to following detective steps, as my PC build is getting a bit old and I don’t want to accidentally trigger a crash by messing with fan speeds.
Thanks!
