Since it's a brand new Threadripper, the 3600 model has undergone significant improvements since this processor was introduced.

What kind of output are you aiming for? It really depends on how you intend to use the computer, and the right CPU will suit your needs best.

Consider purchasing a 1700/1700x/1800x/2700/2700x, as some options are even more affordable.

It's worthwhile only when you require significant memory or fast storage options. The board supports 60 PCIe lanes, allowing you to connect multiple NVMe drives without issues thanks to the ample lanes. It includes 8 RAM slots, enabling you to install up to 128 GB using 16 DDR4 sticks. The 32 GB modules are less common and costlier. Since it's a first-generation Ryzen processor, exceeding 3200 Mhz isn't necessary; 3000 Mhz should suffice with eight sticks. The CPU resembles a Ryzen 1st generation with eight cores, offering more PCIe lanes and DDR4 support, though newer motherboards may not fit and older threadrippers won't work.

The sole justification for purchasing it would be if you require numerous PCI3 lanes at a low cost.

It’ll be the same as a Ryzen 1800, which isn’t good. Plus, the price of the motherboard is way higher—just don’t go for it.
