It seems odd that you have this setup. I set up Windows 10 preview on my laptop just to try it out earlier today, and now it appears in your notification bar on your Windows 7 PC. I wasn’t sure if I missed anything recently.

The Windows 10 device might have forwarded the task to the W7 system.

You already have Windows 10 installed! Check the second choice in the context menu. "Secure your upgrade." You might be getting updates for Windows 10.

I also received it via a Windows update, not from your previous operating system. Remember, Windows 10 is available for free for one year to all users of Windows 7 and 8/8.1.

I also have it; I haven't done anything related to Windows 10. I think I'll wait a few weeks after the release to install it.

I also joined this place since the setup simplifies scamming opportunities.

You can apply the same notification email to both systems, but you should verify that the email address is valid and accessible on each device. Using a consistent email helps ensure updates are received properly.
