What steps should I take to install Windows 10 while avoiding login issues?
Hey guys I tried everything to recover my original Windows login creating local account and also including registry editing but nothing works. This is the 2nd time I have had this problem with this machine and tired of it.
So I want to do a complete wipe then reinstall Windows 10 but this time, is there anything at all I can do which will prevent this Windows account problem please?
Completely uncertain about the issue.
Try wiping and reinstalling.
Use your valid MS account login.
Precisely where does it fail?
I'm still figuring this out, but from what I know both versions now need a Microsoft account linked. I might get updated if I don't test it for a while, since the "disconnect the internet cable" trick in version 11 is no longer available. The local account could also stop working soon.
I noticed no mistake on my end; I’ve used this old HP Elite 8200 USFF desktop for years and only encountered this issue recently. One morning I turned it on normally and the login error appeared: "We can't sign into your account" and also "You've been signed in with a temporary profile."
I had previously posted here asking for help, and setting up the local account according to the instructions worked then.
But this time, after trying all other methods, I saw a 'hard drive error' message during startup. I manually shut it down and restarted it, and it loaded again. That suggests the drive might be faulty now.
When you mention 'diagnose,' what specific steps should I take to possibly repair the drive?
OR, let me know if you've got this fresh Glyph 500gb external storage saved for a while, since it's meant to be higher quality—should I use it to boot and run Windows 10?
