I frequently encounter issues when attempting to run specific games, causing my computer to become completely unresponsive. The system locks up with repeating sound effects, a frozen keyboard and mouse, and I lose my internet connection. My only solution is to force a restart. I've attempted numerous troubleshooting steps already, and I’m seeking assistance.

Welcome to the forums my friend!
We will need a lot more information.
What is your full system spec including PSU make and model?
Are you running any overclocks at all?
Are all of your drivers up to date (especially internet / wifi drivers)?
Do you have latest BIOS installed?
What games does this occur on?
What have you already tried?

My current computer has some limitations – it's not performing very well, and I’m planning to purchase a new one soon.

I have an HP EliteBook with the following specifications: Intel Core i5-3320M CPU at 2.60GHz, 4GB of RAM, and Intel HD 4000 graphics. I haven't been overclocking it, and it doesn’t overheat either. My drivers are current, and I recently updated my BIOS as well. I primarily play games like Unturned (with Battleye), PUBG, and surprisingly, Roblox. I’ve already attempted to remove temporary files and scan for malware to address the issue, but I should have mentioned that the computer freezes instantly when I try to launch any games. Thank you.

I believe there are three potential problems with your issue:

The game installation may be faulty, possibly due to a damaged file or an incomplete process during setup.
Your computer’s system requirements might not align with the game's specifications.
There could also be a graphics processing unit (GPU) issue, preventing your computer from accurately rendering the game’s visuals.

I’ve reinstalled the games twice, and it's still performing poorly. I don’t believe my hardware can adequately support Roblox at the moment (though I understand my current system is weak). Additionally, I am able to run Counter-Strike: Global Offensive without issues.

well, since you can play CSGO and needs some great specs, but you can't run the roblox which only needs minor specs? hmmmm.
whenever you open roblox, does the audio still goes on?
In cases of a computer unit that freezes, either the RAM takes a long time to load the game because your RAM's memory is on its edge or something like:
Running Roblox when you got only 200MB of memory left (in Task manager).
Or maybe, the game you installed isn't compatible with your OS's bit. either for 64bit or 32bit

An installation for games designed with 32-bit architecture can function within a 64-bit operating system. Conversely, games built for 64-bit architecture will fail to install on a 32-bit operating system.

This appears to be a problem related to the physical components.

Could you please describe what tests you have performed?

I only checked the memory of my computer.

Apologies for the delayed response.
