Consider adding REVI OS to your PC if you're open to it. Many recommend it for performance improvements, especially with higher frame rates. Others may have different opinions, so check reviews before deciding.

It's the same with most matters; discovering everything comes from experimenting.

I've used it for more than a year now, and it performs much better than stock windows regarding bloatware. It also claims to have no spyware, though I'm not sure how reliable that is.

Choose Windows 10/11 (IoT) LTS or straight Windows Server. These versions come without extra bloatware and work well on your X230 with just 4GB RAM. You’re fine as is—no need to upgrade unless you want more features.

I don’t suggest using ready-made custom operating systems like Revi, Tiny, or Atlas. If you need similar performance with a smaller footprint, you can build it yourself. Trust me, doing it yourself will make you happier and more confident that the system isn’t compromised or hiding backdoors. It’s not complicated.
