Hi everyone, I had a friend assist me in assembling a computer some time ago and I’m now considering an upgrade.
I’m not very experienced with the components and am seeking guidance on what to focus on to improve frame rates during gameplay.
I’m aiming for the greatest performance boost while keeping costs low—especially if my CPU is actually limiting my experience rather than my GPU.
I noticed my RAM’s clock speed is lower than most of my friends’, wondering if that could be a significant factor.
I’ve attached my rough specs from Speccy.
Any suggestions would be really helpful!

Measure the available frame rates and identify any expected or needed rates.
Assess the existing hardware using tools like Task Manager or Resource Monitor.
Check the current RAM setup (16 sticks or 8 sticks) and whether it supports dual-channel mode.
Examine the power supply details including make, model, wattage, age, condition, and whether it’s original, refurbished, or used.
Review the disk drive information such as manufacturer, model, capacity, and usage level.
Confirm the specifications of the three GPUs (one iGPU and two GPUs) installed in the slots.
Gather further details to understand the system's performance baseline and required improvements.
Determine which aspects need adjustment to achieve the desired video game experience.

GPU seems to be the main issue, yet your CPU might limit performance of faster GPUs, meaning you'll benefit from having both.

Enable the xmp ram option in the bios and observe any changes in ram speed.
