I understand you're curious about the resolution 3360x2100. It's a higher resolution than the standard 4K you know, but it's still a large display size. You're using DSR to play Thief on your 1680x1050 monitor at around 55 frames per second, and you're amazed by how your setup manages it.

It's essentially four times the screen resolution, allowing the Nvidia drivers to capture more detail in the final image.

Not every resolution carries a name. This one doesn’t have one either. (And it’s also not very typical, so if you need benchmarks, check 4K and 1440p—it falls somewhere in between.)

Maybe just a guess... no need to cite anything.

It's not 3k, just quadrupling the output of op monitor.

It matches the 3K standard because the resolution is 3200x1800. It's similar to how 4096x2160 and 3840x2160 are also regarded as 4K.

It seems like you're referring to a resolution or format specification. The suggestion of QWSXGA+ and Quad WSXGA+ indicates a display setting around 1050, possibly for a specific device or application.
