What RAM should I buy?
Checking out the top options for a 32GB RAM setup. Trident Z Neo 32GB (4x8GB) and Corsair Dominator Platinum 3600 both seem solid choices. The 3600 cl16 is a great pick, but if you're looking for the best performance, the 3600 CL16 might edge out slightly. There’s no better RAM in this range unless you’re considering higher speeds or more modules, but your current setup is already strong with the i9-9900K and gaming trio.
Choose a 2x8 setup and upgrade later if desired. For higher capacity options, consider a 3200 cl16/14 or a 3600 cl16 kit.
Mostly any 2x8 3200mhz cl16 setup works. I bought the most affordable one from MicroCenter to match those requirements, and it’s been reliable for more than a year.
4000Mhz is the fastest you should get that should work out of the box with the XMP settings. SOme fiddling might be required. THis is a good fast CL17 kit: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/8jZFf7/...17q-32gtzr 3600Mhz almost certainly will work with no fiddling with XMP. This kit has great timings, although the XMP voltage is a bit high at 1.45V. https://pcpartpicker.com/product/bgBhP6/...4q-32gtznb
I engage in high-quality gaming, video editing, and streaming. Everyone says it's top-notch.
The voltage is steady at a moderate level (1.5V), but overall the setup performs well. A configuration with a slightly reduced stock XMP voltage tends to run faster in general. I aim for kits around 1.35V with excellent timing, so I can further boost performance by increasing it to 1.45-1.5V myself.
