You're looking to build with a RTX 5070 Ti 16 GB card and want to know which CPU would pair well. For a future reference, consider evaluating your needs and testing different configurations to see what works best.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer! What processor would suit you best and how can I help you evaluate components in the future? Which type of application will be putting a strain on your system?

AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D ideal for gaming.
AMD Ryzen 9 7900X / 7950X suitable for multitasking, productivity and gaming.
Intel Core i7-14700K
Choosing PC components requires understanding your primary purpose—be it gaming, video editing, app development or everyday tasks. This guides which part to focus on first (GPUs for gaming, CPUs and RAM for productivity). After deciding, prioritize the essential component, then select supporting parts while avoiding bottlenecks. Utilize tools such as pc-builds.com bottleneck calculator, UserBenchmark and YouTube benchmark videos to evaluate CPU/GPU combinations.
Compatibility matters: verify your motherboard supports the selected CPU socket, offers appropriate RAM support (DDR4 or DDR5), and includes necessary features (PCIe 4.0/5.0, sufficient M.2 slots, etc.). Consider power needs with PSU calculators and aim for a balanced budget—avoid overspending on one element at the expense of another.

I suggest the Ryzen 5 7600X since it offers excellent value for money, handling most tasks well with your GPU. Hardware Unboxed recently shared a compelling comparison to the 9800X3D.
