This text describes the difficulty of reselling an old computer and suggests focusing on selling individual components for a potentially higher return. It emphasizes the risk involved in attempting to sell the entire system at its original price.

This text describes the process of selling an old computer and suggests strategies for maximizing its value. It emphasizes the challenges involved due to limited market demand and offers advice on how to approach the sale effectively, including breaking up the computer for sale parts instead of as a whole unit.

Here’s the rewritten text:

“I'm looking to sell my older PC components individually, and I’m hoping to get around 60% of their original value. The GPU has performed consistently with no thermal issues since purchase, and the CPU is kept clean every four months with fresh thermal paste. I believe selling each part separately would yield a better return than trying to sell the whole system. Given their condition – no performance decline on the GPU or regular maintenance on the CPU – I’m aiming for around 60% of their original cost. Honestly, I don't expect much more than that, possibly closer to 50%, especially considering they are older components. I appreciate your advice!”

So, two year old PC with no warranty and self described "fair bit of use". IMHO, you would be lucky to get 50% of original price. It is possible that you may get more if you part it out, rather than trying to sell it as a complete computer.
The GPU has had no performance and/or thermal declines since purchasing and the CPU has been cleaned with a microfiber cloth every 4 months (thermal paste reapplied as well). I think I might have to sell each part separately but I would still enjoy getting a 60% return. Thanks for the input
I understand and I would like a 60% return also. My main point was the "no warranty" part of the estimate. I think that would be a major show stopper, at least to me. Hope you can get what you want for it.

concur with the $1000 estimate above, but, even between $900-$995 would reasonable if pricing to sell were a goal.......
Gaming-wise, the rig is still quite competent, as 4c/8t cpus still do well in BF1 and BF-V, etc...and the GTX1080 is certainly no slouch at anything.
