Hey!
I was attempting to increase my GPU's performance using MSI Afterburner, but I found that both the base and boost clocks were stuck at 405MHz. I couldn't adjust any sliders since they kept resetting, and the software didn't detect any GPU temperature, suggesting the card wasn't being recognized. This was my first time overclocking this laptop, so I'm unsure what's causing the problem or how to resolve it.
Hardware details:
Laptop: ASUS ZenBook Pro UX501VW
GPU: GTX960m
CPU: i7-6700HQ
RAM: 16GB

I wouldn't increase the laptop base GPU's speed. The heat and power usage will cause issues.
