We are exploring a custom CNC solution and need to determine the appropriate power supply. We have several components to consider, including stepper motors, drivers, and a Raspberry Pi. Should we use a single power supply for all devices or separate the Raspberry Pi's power needs with its own dedicated supply?

Frankly, this should be the straightforward section.
It seems you’ll need a 5V supply around 65 watts with some extra capacity. This might fit a standard phone charger power supply, and you could easily find something larger like a 120W unit for a bit more buffer. You’ll also have to use DC-DC converters to reach lower voltages or opt for simple voltage regulators with large heatsinks.
