Considering a Windows 10 installation on your new setup depends on your needs. It offers modern features and updates, but may lack compatibility with older hardware or software. Weigh the benefits against potential limitations.

Windows 7 offers greater reliability compared to Windows 8, 8.1, and I didn’t believe you needed to install Windows 10 since it’s still in the early testing phase.

it's actually quite stable compared to windows 8. you've noticed the difference yourself after using it for a while, and switching back recently shows improved performance.

Many people dislike Windows 8. I've seen better performance on my laptop after switching from 7 to 8.1.

Windows 10 is undergoing testing with its technical preview, which anyone can download. Currently, this version includes a key logger to aid Microsoft in refining it. However, using it as your primary operating system could expose your personal data and bank information to Microsoft. Therefore, many users are advised to avoid installing it on their main PC and instead try it on a test machine or virtual environment. As a recommendation, consider switching to Windows 8.1 until Microsoft releases a public version next year. Good luck!

I'm a high-performance user... but Windows 8 isn't allowed.

Absolutely, I understand the hesitation around change. I agree with the idea that newer isn't always better. In fact, it seems like it could be quite beneficial. Since I haven’t run into any problems, I’m curious—would you consider Windows 10 as a stronger option?
