While cleaning my PC, I noticed that my power cable has some scratches. I was wondering if it could be because it's always next to a wall possibly rubbing against it, or if it might have been caused by a short circuit. I also want to add that the cable still works fine.

That looks like an external rub, not something caused by a short circuit. You should be fine. If worried, just replace that standard cable.
