What might be leading to persistent stuttering during gameplay on your newly configured PC?
My monitor runs at 900p @60hz with a Dell model.
I’m using an MSI H310m PRO VDH, an i5 9500 processor, 8GB DDR4 memory at 2666mhz single channel, Intel UHD 630 integrated GPU, and a Western Digital 1TB HDD (about 50GB used out of 931GB).
Playing Valorant often causes my game to stutter, making it difficult to play. It works well in custom gamemodes without others, but during deathmatch or when switching scenes it stutters during gunfights or image loads. While it usually restarts smoothly in deathmatch, it keeps stuttering in other modes like Comp or Unrated, rendering the experience unusable.
Despite having a fully optimized system and updated drivers, I’ve tried clearing task scheduler standby memory every five minutes and set my power plan to balanced. A complete system reset didn’t solve the issue. My CPU, GPU, RAM, motherboard, and power supply are brand new. However, I’m using an HDD that’s two years old from my previous PC. The disk health check showed it was still functioning properly.
During gameplay temperatures are around 60°C on the CPU and 35°C on the HDD.
My main concerns are:
- The aging HDD (which passed tests in CrystalDisk)
- A potential bottleneck from my CPU and GPU

Weak graphics are the primary issue. Consider using a dedicated graphics card. Additional improvements can be made by upgrading to 16GB dual-channel RAM and installing an SSD.
