I own an Acer Nitro 5 an515-55 with 10300h, igpu, 1650 mobile and 8x16gb ram. I plan to use it for general tasks like projects, essays, notes and presentations. The battery currently lasts only 2.5 hours, which is not enough. If possible, could you help me disable the keyboard lights?

Read the laptop's User Guide/Manual thoroughly to grasp the usage instructions for both battery operation and shutdown.
Confirm you know how to properly charge the battery using the correct accessories.
Make sure to register the device to maintain warranty benefits, though this may offer limited practical advantage if issues arise.
Review the fine print in most warranties carefully—often little helps in real situations.
Pay attention to keyboard indicators; instructions on disabling them should be included in the manual.
In class, you’ll likely use the laptop for general tasks like projects, essays, notes, and presentations.
Be aware that any computer, particularly a laptop, carries a risk of data loss.
Create an immediate backup strategy, keeping copies of critical work in at least two separate locations away from the device.
Ensure these backups are both retrievable and readable.
Exercise caution with USB drives, especially cheaper or high-capacity models.
The college might offer central storage or allow you to send copies via email for safekeeping, but be mindful that emails can be deleted after a set period.
Alternatively, share copies with trusted friends or family members or use a personal non-college email account.
Consider cloud-based storage as another option.
Always keep the overall situation in perspective, remembering that charging and battery performance are crucial factors.
However, many unforeseen issues can occur—stay prepared for them.
