Hey everyone!
I wanted to ask about safely cleaning my powersupply. I see a lot of dust buildup and small debris inside the fan and inside the casing. I was thinking about turning it off, removing the screws, taking it apart, and cleaning it with a brush and maybe alcohol wipes. But I'm also curious if there are any extra safety considerations I should know about. Any other advice would be great! Thanks!

Power supplies contain extremely hazardous voltages even when disconnected.
Capacitors accumulate charge and maintain voltage until they are discharged.
The optimal method for cleaning is using an air compressor along with a natural fiber/hair paint brush, paired with a wooden handle.
Ensure you employ the paint brush or wooden toothpick to prevent excessive fan rotation during air blowing.

Switching off isn't enough.
Disconnect from the power source.
Canned air is handy, but cans are used up quickly.
Purchase a plug-in air filter.
Activate it by securing the fan so it doesn't spin and get harmed.
A screwdriver or similar tool will suffice.

Don't use a can of air duster. Instead, secure the fans with tape or hold them while removing and cleaning the dust. Afterward, hold and clean the fans.
