I recently got a PS2 to USB adapter for my old PS2 controller, which is a well-known model often used in tutorials, as shown at the bottom of this post. Since it’s a plug-and-play device, I added it to the 'Devices and Printers' area and downloaded the x360ce Controller Emulator. However, it doesn’t get any input from the controller and can’t create a default settings file. The controller still functions properly on the PS2 as expected. I’m looking for advice or help from anyone who might be using the same setup.

Unless it's brand new (and even then), you should begin by checking all the connections from the USB cable on the board and rewiring them if necessary.

In the connection section, everything appears correct. The red analog signal on the controller lights up when the button is pressed, and it has been configured by Windows. The missing part is the input, which still isn't working even after recalibration.

You have a replacement ready. After adjusting a few settings in the x360ce software, everything functions properly.
