What methods are available to identify FPS drops?
Recently, I've noticed a major drop in FPS. This situation has never occurred before. To fix it, I've attempted: updating drivers, reinstalling Nvidia, scanning and repairing the game, and running virus checks. Still nothing. What further steps should I take to diagnose and resolve the issue?

I'm playing Overwatch 2, sometimes I'll have a song or an external forum open in the background, which I've done without any issues whatsoever. Until now.
I have the option enabled in-game on my device through the Overwatch settings. I have a 120hz screen on this laptop, I have the frames set to a max of 120. When I'm experiencing issues, and it's not always, the frames will drop to about 30 - 40 FPS. Everything becomes stuttery.
It's not consistent though. It usually occurs when there's a bunch of stuff going on on the screen.
I have the GeForce app installed on my device, it lets me know when there's new driver updates available. I clicked on it and selected 'reinstall driver' because I thought it might've been installed incorrectly or something.
Identify the exact I7 CPU model first. Then, use DDU to fully remove the graphics driver, as installing it through the software alone isn't sufficient.

Does this occur when you're not playing music simultaneously?
Sometimes I create a large playlist using VLC, and if I need to switch to a game, I pause the music to start the game. I never thought about combining them until in one game I had to use an elevator, and when I pressed the floor buttons to close it, AC/DC began playing. That broke the game. It wasn't my hardware or OS issue, but I feel like it was a user error.
