Even with an overclocked CPU, you'd still reach the thermal throttling point the laptop experiences with the existing CPU and turbo boost configurations. In fact, disabling turbo boost in the BIOS could improve battery life, performance, and cooling.

Which specific model are you referring to? The L340 includes many sub-models. Turbo boost is set to active by default. Most laptops don't offer significant customization options.

I own the sub model equipped with the I5-8265U processor, excluding the touch screen. After reviewing the BIOS settings, Turbo Boost is turned off since the CPU operates at a base frequency of 1.6GHz (standard for I5-8265U). There is no available option to activate Turbo Boost. If it were enabled, the clock speed would reach 3.9GHz.
