Hi!
I have the following audio interface:
Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 4th Gen, which lacks an On/Off switch.
PROBLEM:
Whenever I shut down my PC, the device stays active and generates heat unnecessarily.
The only workaround is to disconnect the power cable.
QUESTION:
Is there a BIOS or Windows setting that automatically powers off the audio interface when the PC is turned off?
MY SYSTEM:
•Motherboard: ASRock X670E Taichi (BIOS version 3.30).
•OS: Windows 11 Enterprise v24H2.
•USB Audio Interface: Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 4th Gen (latest firmware and driver installed).

There are inline on/off switches that can be placed between the power cord plug and the wall outlet. They are easily accessible—just avoid purchasing inexpensive options and opt for UL certification. Search online for "power cord switches." Visit hardware stores or building supply centers to inspect the switches in person and verify their specifications.

Consult the bios manual page 47 for details about the Deep Sleep setting. Consider using the Enabled in S5 option, which might cut power to the USB ports when the motherboard is powered down: https://download.asrock.com/Manual/Software/AMD X670/Software_BIOS Setup Guide_English.pdf

Hello!
Thanks for your responses.
I've discovered a fix:
My Harman Kardon AVR Receiver has two AC outlets on the back side.
I connected the power cord from the audio interface into one of those outlets.
Now, when I turn off the AVR, the audio interface also shuts down.
