What method is used to permanently turn off YouTube's ambient mode?
Can I turn off ambient mode permanently or do I have to reset it each time I watch videos? It's really annoying and it's making YouTube slow for me.
No problem, just for PC. You can only turn it off while watching the video; the next one will reset the setting and turn it back on.
Are you currently logged in while watching videos?

To activate Ambient mode:
After turning on the Dark theme, ambient mode will be enabled automatically.
To disable Ambient mode:
In the watch page, click Settings.
Select Ambient mode and toggle it off for all videos.
Yes I am. I follow the exact steps, but the next video will keep ambient mode on. I'm using dark mode.
