What method exists to observe ink levels without producing any prints?
Hi. I have a canon printer TS5051. When I am printing I have a pop up window showing ink levels. Is there anyway of finding this exe file to launch it when the printer is running. It only comes up when actualy printing. There should be a list of all running apps. I could find it this way maybe.
TIA Desmond.
Ensure the printer is connected and powered on.
Press "Print" from an app to launch the Canon print settings window.
Navigate to "Preferences".
Select the "Maintenance" section.
Choose the "View Printer Status" option.
Ink levels will appear at the bottom-right of the display.
End or dismiss all dialog boxes when finished.
The ink levels are only accessible during printing. It would be helpful to see this at any time. A shortcut to the desktop and the EXE file are required. Clicking Print does not launch the Canon print system; it opens MS Word print settings. There are no preferences for MS Print—just pages, single-sided, etc. I need the EXE file directly. The print file is only available in the BREEFLY toolbar while printing. I don’t have access to the Canon EXE. All I see is rundll.exe.
It might not exist as a standalone .exe file. This issue could be contained within the driver and activated only through printing. Only Canon is aware of this.
I need to reach out to Canon tomorrow. They likely have an app for this. It worked before I had to install the newest software. The latest version didn't include all the features from the DVD.
