What method can I use to skip the Windows 10 MS account verification when resetting?
Hello guys, I need to reset Windows 10 to sell my Lenovo Ideapad 320 laptop. I want a generic installation without using my MS account. I recall there was an option in the past to avoid choosing a network account, but it’s not visible now. The process seems to require selecting a network first, then entering an MS account email and password. Many YouTube videos suggest using the command prompt, but I can’t access a generic CMD prompt because of this issue. I don’t remember the initial password I used when setting up Windows. What should I do?
If I were facing the same situation, I would reinstall the operating system without internet access. When the chance to enter credentials appears or the OOBE menu shows up, I would shut down the laptop. This way, the buyer would have to create an account and set up the device for the first time.
During the reinstallation, if you have backed up your data, you can format the drive(s) before starting the OS installation.
Thank you, I completed it by avoiding the factory reset and installing the OS from a bootable USB drive.
