Hello! I'm trying to unlock my CPU (i5 4460S) and want to overclock it. Because it's locked, the only option is to increase the FSB speed. I'm curious about how much I should raise it without making the system unstable. Do you know typical limits for most systems?

It varies. Some reach up to 107 for 100mhz bus speed and others fail at just 102. It's mostly trial and error; Prime95 running for six hours will really push it. Overclocking the FSB can affect other parts too, so it's a bit of a shock for your setup. It isn't worth sacrificing stability for almost no performance boost, but you might want to give it a shot. Just increase it in tiny steps.

By how much should I rise it at a time?

Head to 102, test incrementing by +1 each time. Despite this, it remains a high efficiency intel low power chip; your overclock attempt is likely to fail and cause a crash! Good luck.
