Hey everyone I'm planning to purchase a laptop for rendering with ffmpeg.
I'll be working on renders lasting 5 to 6 hours or longer.
I don't need a powerful GPU, nor am I concerned about webcam or screen quality.
I'm looking for something with resolution between 15 and 17.
Performance and efficiency are my main priorities, not other features.
Budget is around $2k.
Thanks!

A gaming laptop is suitable for this task. I favor a gaming laptop over a standard high-end one since gaming models typically feature superior cooling systems (such as dual fans and larger copper heat sinks).
