Hey everyone,
What would you suggest for a laptop suited to streaming to Facebook and recording in 720p? This is for our organisation that connects a few cameras and a sound desk to the laptop, which we use to stream footage and upload higher quality videos to YouTube. We’re looking for something affordable since we’re on a tight budget. Only streaming or recording is needed, nothing else.

Can you provide a list of app's that you're going to tax the laptop with? A budget would also help us two fold. If there's no budget you could get pretty much the cream of the crop in terms of tech but realistically speaking no one can have an open budget, especially not an organization in these times.
For context, can you parse the make and model of your laptop and the SKU so we can understand what you're working with? It'd also be of aid to us to understand if your current laptop cuts the cake or you're left wanting more for the tasks you want to perform.

Apologies for the delayed response.
My current laptop is quite powerful, featuring an 8-core (16-thread) CPU, 32GB of RAM, and an RTX 3070.
The budget should be approximately £400 to £500, which could stretch if needed.
Only streaming to Facebook via FaceTime and recording on Obsidian are running tasks; no other applications are active except a browser for those platforms.
I’m assuming the CPU and RAM would be more critical than the graphics here?

I believe there are numerous excellent choices available, ranging from affordable to premium models. For instance, the ASUS VivoBook 15 offers outstanding audio quality and fast performance. Other top laptops mentioned in the article about streaming laptops are also worth considering.
