What is your real GPU core clock reading? (checking with GPU-Z while trying to optimize)
I use a KingPin 980ti and my overclocking hasn’t been successful. I’ve tried the simplest OC steps—maximum power limit, custom fan curve—but only manage to add +55MHz before issues appear. My boost and clock speeds remain low, yet monitoring shows 1490MHz during stress tests.
Have I truly reached the limit for overclocking with this +55 MHz offset?
I’ve already switched my GPU to 'OC' mode physically, though I haven’t reached 80°C during testing yet.
I’m just starting out with this process! Thank you for your help.
1490 isn't problematic, but with a KingPin you can surpass the standard card's voltage and power constraints, achieving higher speeds. What voltage does your card reach at 1490?
1490 is quite fine, but with a KingPin you can increase the voltage and power beyond standard limits, allowing even higher speeds. What voltage does your card reach at 1490?
Hey! Thanks for the reply,
My GPU now only reaches 1485, and the voltage climbs to 1.212 V according to GPU-Z. Should I adjust it and then tweak my offset?
I was wondering, since most 980ti owners report a "Boost Value" around 1400, mine is 1300. But if it jumps smoothly to 1500 under load, does that mean the boost value is similar? (In terms of what you can do)
