Based on my observations, XMP stability across several DIMMs mainly depends on the CPU's memory controller rather than the motherboard's capabilities.

The 6 or 8 layer boards handle traces between memory slots and CPU sockets more efficiently than the 4 layer cheaper models. There are two connection methods for the slots to the socket—T-topology is preferred for overclocking but complicates the layout compared to the traditional setup. Additionally, the effort put into the BIOS and default settings matters; the actual DRAM controller inside the CPU significantly influences performance. It’s enough to review the numerous microcode updates AMD implemented to enhance memory compatibility.
