Hi all,
I’m working on assembling the PC described in my previous posts. The parts list is as follows:
Montech Air 100 ARGB mATX case
AMD Ryzen 5 7600X
Cooler Master MasterLiquid 240L Core ARGB
Kingston Fury Beast RGB 32GB (2x16, 6000MT/s)
Kingston NV3 1TB M.2-2280 PCIe Gen 4 (windows and game drive now as the other drive won’t fit)
PSU: Corsair RMe 750W 80+ Gold Fully Modular
The main issue is that the front panel USB 3.0 header has a bent pin, preventing cables from fitting properly. The actual pin wasn’t aligned vertically, making it hard to insert the cable and causing it to bend.

Could there be a solution to straighten the pin or would replacing the motherboard be necessary?

Consider sending a photo to illustrate the damage or bend, and determine if it can be repaired. Often, fixing the pin by re-soldering will result in further issues nearby.

I’ll get a picture eventually. I believe I might be able to avoid using the ports altogether (they only supply power to two USB ports on the front panel). If that’s not possible, I’d likely need to swap out the motherboard.

You need multiple USB3 ports at the back, just install a USB3 extension or hub.

Sure, I agree that's a good plan.

However, we'll start by attempting to adjust the pin first; if that fails, then I'll proceed. In either case, this shouldn't create significant issues for the PC's normal operation.
