I've been struggling with my budget but I'm starting to feel a bit overwhelmed. I've been checking out this Lenovo Legion 5, but I thought it would be helpful to ask someone with more experience.

1. What is your budget? - around £1500.
2. What notebook size are you looking at? - 17 inches or larger.
3. Which screen resolution are you aiming for? - 1080p or 1440p if performance matters within the budget.
4. Are you looking for a portable or desktop replacement laptop? - Desktop replacement, not necessarily compact or lightweight.
5. How important is battery life to you? - You want it as good as possible, but mostly rely on charging.
6. Would you like to play games with your laptop? If yes, please list the games and their desired settings (Low, Medium, or High). - As long as I can run Witcher 3 at the highest settings is fine, though I’d prefer better GPU performance within my budget.
7. What other tasks do you plan to perform with your laptop? (Photo editing, Video editing, etc.) - Mainly gaming and some coding.
8. How much storage do you require? - At least 1TB with an SSD.
9. If you have specific sites in mind to buy from, please share their links. - Any trusted UK sellers.
10. How long do you intend to keep your laptop? - You’d like it to last a couple of years.
11. Which optical drive do you need? DVD ROM, Bluray ROM, etc.? - None.
12. What brands do you prefer and which ones you don’t like, along with your reasons? - No brand preference.
13. Where are you based? - The UK.
14. Any other details you’d like to share? - I just want the best laptop possible for my budget. It will mainly be used for gaming, but also for watching videos. It should fit in a home setting and have a good battery life.

Thank you for your advice.

As long as I can play Witcher 3 at the highest setting, keep dreaming for such a price! There might be a reason you haven’t found any references yet. What you’re asking for won’t get you most games today at max settings. There are options out there that can run games like Witcher 3, but unless you’re willing to spend money, that’s not going to cover most titles.

There are some brands or places where you can custom build your own gaming setup.

Scan
MSI
Asus
Gigabyte
MSI offers a wide range of gaming laptops, so I’d recommend starting there. Otherwise, you might end up with basic models like the Dell or Acer.

Here, congratulations—there are all the laptops in your price range. They include a 6800M GPU, 3060, 3070, which are among the top GPUs available.
