Seems it isn't a trivial procedure, at all, to replace it. Hope for your sake they do it under warranty.
Thanks, I was planning to inspect every piece of hardware I could obtain before sending it off, but it looks like I'll need to do that today. If they still can't spot the problem or ignore it again, I'll have to skip both keys and consider building a custom desktop myself—this isn't going to be easy at home. Many components are being carefully taken out just to reach the keyboard.
