I need a new laptop for work and studying. I also want one that handles most games well, except for the most demanding ones like Red Dead Redemption 2. What laptops come to mind?

I openly admit I own a Lenovo Legion. I've increased the RAM to 32GB and replaced the HDD with a Crucial MX500 1TB drive. This particular model is what I'm using.

The Lenovo Legion is my preferred choice for gaming laptops, but the selection depends on budget.

A business is acceptable as long as the cost is under 2000 dollars.

Following my previous remark, here is the adjusted version.
The link provided pertains to the Legion 5-series laptop, specifically the 82JY009KUS model.

Lenovo produces quality laptops too.
they often match or exceed the performance of other gaming-focused systems while avoiding the cluttered looks and higher prices from extra branding.
my previous IdeaPad remained a solid choice for browsing, media, and light gaming for many years.

I concur with the suggestion regarding Lenovo, as brands typically offer the optimal price-to-quality balance.

Expect limited performance from a gaming laptop due to its compact cooling system. I believe the Lenovo Thinkpad extreme gen4 is one of the top choices. Here is a review:
It allows you to customize graphics and CPU according to your preferences.
It remains very lightweight, making it suitable for travel.
