What is the most effective method for merging complex directory structures?
Hello, I hope this is the correct location for your request.
I need to combine several copies of the same directories into one version, and also remove all duplicate files inside them (possibly using czakawka).
Another challenge is that the folders and subfolders aren’t always at the same level—there might be files like D:\HP\Pictures\2022 and D:\Asus\Pictures with similar names.
Could someone recommend a simple method or app to merge these directories so that duplicates are eliminated, even when they’re not in the same directory structure?
Thank you very much.
locate the specific folders containing the real pictures.
begin by copying and pasting all photos from one folder into the next, replacing any existing files.
once you reach the final folder, save or move just its contents to the desired storage spot.
remove any empty or unused folders afterward.
later, you can review and remove duplicates with different names if needed.
