Hey there,
I wanted to check how far my card can really go with the clock speed. I pushed it all the way. It’s a pny rtx 4060 Ti with 8GB dual fan edition.
I found stable at +225MHz for the core and +1850MHz for memory. The final numbers were:
Core clock & memory clock:
[Tool used: Unigine heaven benchmarking at 1600x900 with extreme settings]
I’ll upgrade my monitor soon.

[Stock settings: Core = 2790MHz, Memory = 9000MHz]
Results:
FPS: 163.7
Score: 4125
Min: 45.6
Max: 357.3

Case 1:
Core = 3015MHz (+225)
Memory = 10851MHz (+1850)
Result:
FPS: 176.5
Score: 4447
Min FPS: 56.4
Max FPS: 383.4

Case 2:
Core = Same as case 1
Memory = +1750MHz
Result:
FPS: 176.2
Score: 4438
Min FPS: 44.6
Max FPS: 379.9

Case 3:
Core = Same as case 1
Memory = +1600MHz
Result:
FPS: 175.7
Score: 4427
Min FPS: 54.1
Max FPS: 380.9

Case 4:
Core = Same as case 1
Memory = +1500MHz
Result:
FPS: 175.3
Score: 4416
Min FPS: 49.7
Max FPS: 380.4

Case 5:
Core = Same as case 1
Memory = +1400MHz
Result:
FPS: 175.1
Score: 4410
Min FPS: 53.4
Max FPS: 379.8

Case 6:
Core = Same as case 1
Memory = +1250MHz
Result:
FPS: 174.3
Score: 4390
Min FPS: 52.0
Max FPS: 378.7

Case 7:
Core = Same as case 1
Memory = +1000MHz
Result:
FPS: 172.9
Score: 4357
Min FPS: 46.4
Max FPS: 375.6

All settings are at the default 1.075 voltage. The GPU temperature stayed around 60-63°C, and the hotspot was between 67-69°C. The fan ran at about 2100 RPM.

Now I have a few questions:
1. Does using these settings harm the GPU and affect its lifespan?
2. Which preset should I choose among them?

[Note: Power usage isn’t important to me. I’m looking for better GPU performance. That’s why I didn’t try undervolting.]

Thanks for reading so patiently.

Operate one at factory specks and share the outcomes.

It might be possible as you increase the video card's workload. However, the exact improvement remains unclear because it relies on many factors that are not fully understood or easily quantified by most people.
Case 1 provided the highest outcome, so if pure performance in this situation is your main concern, it seems the decision is clear.

Can you run OC daily 24/7 and keep it within your safe temperature range?

You should have bought a more powerful GPU. The improvement is around 7%, but it's not enough to justify the cost at those frame rates.

A free show you'd easily overlook without an FPS display, while the RX 6800 offers more speed for its cost and keeps up better thanks to its 16GB VRAM. The 4060ti falls short as a poor choice compared to the 3060ti it replaced.

I was planning to share my thoughts but...
It wasn't my money they used
I don't understand how OP came across this card, and I don't care
Let OP handle it
